All the kitchen staff need to be replaced. The food often turns up stone cold or burnt to a cinder. The peas are always a suspicious shade of green and have watery consistency to them. On a more positive note, I'm pleased that they've finally sorted out the lighting so that you can actually see the 'meal' that's been served.
New building. Standard menu. Pay at the bar service.Remember to pay and display. Restaurant refunds the parking. We ordered something from the kids menu. Bangers and mash and dessert. Sloppy Joe Burger and some drinks. Meals seem reasonably priced. We had to wait for the dessert which took longer than expected. Will probably try again.
Service is fine. Experienced waitresses have to guide a few of young apprentices during the course of dinner. Seating is comfortable. Food wise, it's average though one has many dishes to choose from. Breakfast is good as one can choose from continental and full breakfast or both. I opted for the latter and enjoyed it.
O dear first the positive, the food was hot tasty and well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful well done. Now the other part, we had booked in advance, no reservation. When we went to order a large number of dishes were not available. This included the turkey dinner, even though there was a large turkey on the carvery,??? Also the staff were pushed to the limit, they deserved more support.
Nice family pub. Great value food.... during a week day you can get 2 mains for 8! I had gammon egg and chips - which was really nice. Good fast service, friendly staff. Overall very good.
