The price always feels like it's climbing faster than the value... great if your into tennis all year, but otherwise it's just an expensive gym with Ok ish pools and spa area. Exceptionally busy on evenings and lots of local workers jam up the car park.
Place is very tired and in need of a refurb, in its current state its not worth the pricey membership cost, spa area and pools are always dirty, as are the changing rooms, weights in the gym sre overused and need updating, as do most of the machines. Its in need of another squat rack as it only has one, also some new different machines.It gets far too busy here weekday evenings too.
I have a platinum membership at David Lloyd in Gloucester the club is excellent the staff are excellent the facilities are excellent but, I feel very let down by the state of the outdoor pool the seating and relaxing areas are fantastic but the pool itself has many tiles missing and the water is dirty over the past two weeks the bottom of the pool has been covered with grit and stones there was even an occasion where there was foamy slimy water in the corners on top of the water, I like to use this facility several times a week and for the price we pay for platinum membership I would expect better :(
Really disappointed. Gym was taken over from a Virgin gym and the machines are obviously apart of the previous owners assets. The running machines are terrible and sluggish and although they have some good kit, most of it is tired and popular. (So get ready to queue).Difficult to find a good gym, but Ill be signing upto the Nuffield which is a few miles away, rather than paying the extortionate cost of David Lloyd at the end of my contract term.Genuinely, look for alternatives.
Poor customer service. Rather snob and not practical as a gym. There is not value in paying almost 2k for two adults. Better options out there. GM not interested in working and he is complete oblivious to standards and customers.
